#Problem Statements and Challenge Themes

Tap each card to expand challenge context and objective.
1) Digital Asset Protection

Protecting the Integrity of Digital Sports Media

Sports brands publish enormous volumes of premium media that quickly spread across platforms. Once that happens, tracking ownership and misuse becomes extremely difficult, increasing risk of unauthorized reposts and IP leakage.

Objective: Build a scalable system that discovers, verifies, and flags unauthorized usage of official sports media across the web, with near real-time anomaly detection in content distribution.

2) Rapid Crisis Response

Accelerated Emergency Response and Crisis Coordination in Hospitality

Hotels and hospitality spaces can face sudden emergencies where every second matters. In many cases, vital information is fragmented across teams, delaying coordinated action between guests, staff, and responders.

Objective: Create a resilient platform that detects incidents quickly, triggers immediate reporting, and unifies communication between affected people, on-ground teams, and emergency services.

3) Smart Supply Chains

Resilient Logistics and Dynamic Supply Chain Optimization

Global logistics networks run millions of parallel movements through constantly changing routes and constraints. Disruptions like weather shocks or hidden chokepoints are frequently identified too late, after delays have already spread.

Objective: Build a scalable intelligence layer that continuously monitors transit signals, predicts disruption risk early, and recommends or applies route adjustments before delays propagate system-wide.

4) Unbiased AI Decision

Ensuring Fairness and Detecting Bias in Automated Decisions

Automated systems increasingly influence hiring, credit, and healthcare outcomes. When training data carries historical bias, these systems can unintentionally reinforce unfair patterns at scale.

Objective: Develop an accessible toolkit to audit datasets and models for hidden bias, quantify fairness gaps, and guide teams in mitigation before deployment impacts real users.

5) Smart Resource Allocation

Data-Driven Volunteer Coordination for Social Impact

Community organizations and NGOs gather meaningful field insights, but this data is often fragmented across forms, sheets, and local records, limiting actionability.

Objective: Create a data-driven coordination platform that consolidates local need signals and intelligently maps volunteers to the highest-priority tasks and regions.

Open Innovation Track
For every theme, you can also opt for the Open Innovation path. It gives you freedom to pursue a unique direction while still staying aligned to the chosen challenge space.

#What to Build

#Project Submission Requirements

Phase 1: Registration and Prototype Submission (Initial Submission)
Submit your first working version with the essentials below:
  • Problem Statement: a crisp definition of the exact problem
  • Solution Overview: how your prototype addresses that problem
  • Prototype Link: a live MVP showing core functionality
  • Project Deck: concise story of approach, architecture, and impact
  • GitHub Repository: public source code with runnable structure
  • Demo Video: short walkthrough of the product in action
Phase 2: Top 100 and Product Vault
Shortlisted teams move into refinement mode and submit:
  • Updated prototype link with visible product improvements
  • Refined deck covering technical depth, usability, scalability, and impact
  • Updated demo video showcasing progress since initial submission
  • Short changelog describing major refinements
  • Updated GitHub repository reflecting latest implementation

Product Vault access includes:

  • Structured mentorship from experienced builders
  • Sandbox support and ecosystem enablement
  • Access to Google Cloud credits, APIs, and advanced tooling
  • Guidance on performance, security, scale, and production readiness
Phase 3: Grand Finale (Virtual)
Finalists submit their polished build for final judging and live pitch:
  • Final Prototype Link: stable, fully functional demo-ready product
  • Final Project Deck: goals, product story, architecture, and measurable impact
  • Final Demo Video: sharp walkthrough of the final solution (up to 3 minutes)

#Evaluation Criteria

Innovation and Creativity25%

#Deep-dive dimensions

Technical Complexity

Does the solution use meaningful technical depth, and is that complexity implemented cleanly? Is the codebase maintainable, efficient, and reliable?

AI Integration

Is AI used where it truly adds value? Is the model choice justified, or would a simpler approach deliver comparable outcomes?

Performance and Scalability

Is the system responsive under load, and can it scale smoothly as traffic and data volume grow?

Security and Privacy

Are secure development practices followed end-to-end? Is user data protected with clear privacy and ethical safeguards?
